Get BIG Online Discounts And Save Serious Money

We’ve all seen those online shopping sites that ask you to enter a promotional code to get some type of discount. I always thought that this was some kind of scam to somehow get more money out of me. Probably just some kind of ‘come-on’ to get me to come back and save 10 cents on my next purchase. “Not worth the effort,” I thought.

I was in the office one day last week when my wife came in to use the computer for a while. I watched as my wife made an online purchase. She entered the promotional code before hitting the checkout button. I asked her why she was wasting her time entering the discount code. With that air of superiority that wives sometimes get, she said she was saving us some money.

“Sure,” I answered, “do that 40 times and we’ll be able to buy that extra gallon of gas we’ve been saving up for!”

She explained that this coupon gives her a 30% percent discount off the price of her purchase. “Right’, I said. But much to my surprise, she was right. The total amount of her order was for $50, and she got 30% (or $15) off. The total cost of her $50 order turned out to be $35! I was very pleasantly surprised.

You can search for discount coupons by URL, merchant, alphabetically, or by category. The problem is, while my wife is searching for one discount code, she usually finds some other huge bargain that she just can’t pass up. So, in the long run, it doesn’t save us much money. But if you’re disciplined, you really can save a substantial amount of money!
